If you cannot supply your documents within three weeks, or if you simply prefer to handle the transfer yourself, we can offer you the following;
- Done For You Later Service (delay by up to 12 months).
- Recertification Service- Donor Vehicle & New Certificate - Including Secure Change of Ownership.
**Beware- some well known resellers send out certificates with the previous owners name still printed on. This is a major concern as they'll still actually own the rights to the registration mark which can be recalled at any time by the previous owner- please always insist that you get a guaranteed later transfer or a new certificate, not just an address change**
Important information about later transfers on pre-owned registration marks which are currently on retention.
The DVLA retention scheme prevents the change of ownership of government holding certificates. In order to safely transfer the rights to a registration mark, we may need to assign it onto a 'Donor' vehicle and then re-retain it back onto a new Government certificate in your details (as the new owner).
Occasionally we may require an additional fee for this service but if this is required we will contact you about this before processing your order and payment.
